I came out with following Security ranks: Apprentice Operator, Operator, Trooper, Corporal, Staff Sergeant, Team Sergeant, Operations Sergeant, and Supervisor Sergeant. For Officers: Probatory Officer, Lieutenant, Supervising Lieutenant, Coordinator, Major, Commander, Colonel, Lieutenant Brigadier, Supervising Brigadier, Brigadier Director, and Director General.
Since the the corporation security forces and armed merchant marine forces considered to be a civilian (sometimes private, or public, depends on the corporate status), uniformed organizations with the right to bear arms, the rank system is not the same as in regular military. If in the common regular military is an equivalency of number of ranks for both, let say army or space navy, in the civilian sector that depends on the nature of positions in need and the pay grade, therefore the following ranks for the same corporation but armed merchant marine: Apprentice Crewman, Crewman, Petty Officer, and Boatswain. Then there would be categories of the warrant officers which referred by the positions: e.i. Technician, Corpsman, Navigator, Weapons Specialist,Pilot, Food Preparation Specialist, Cryogenics Operator, and many more. With the range of 5 Warrant Officer grades, after Warrant Officer Class II all the personnel either referred the Senior or Chief, if there no other senior officer in the department. The Officer ranks: Probatory Officer, Midshipman, Passed Midshipman,Third Mate, Second Mate, First Mate/Skipper, Captain, Senior Captain, Fleet Captain, Light Commodore Director, and Commodore Director.
So, my question, do these ranks make sense for the private military army and space force disguised under the corporate guidelines?
Thank you, Zibster
